In order to get rid of a specific committee, you can, again, you can do that. That's something that, for example, Speaker Gingrich did in the mid 90s. The reason that it hasn't been done is less so because those rules are so complicated to change. And I think more so because of the power dynamics as they stand. So even if you have committees, that does not mean that they're never all equally powerful in terms of their jurisdictions.
