The Rise of Rents in the UK
Rents have gone up in every region across the UK over the past year or so. The measures Scotland are looking at might help a little bit, but it's just been an unprecedented time for renters. We heard Annie talking about people being desperate to secure a room. What's driving that? I mean, before the pandemic, we had a house in crisis. Now landlords, like everyone else, they're facing higher bills. A lot of them include energy costs in their rents.
