Bergson is sympathetic to the new Lamarckians and he's especially sympathetic to what are called the psycho the Markians. He says intellect has to repress itself and struggle against itself in order to allow for us to kind of get this vision that intellect fails to try to articulate. It seems strange that Bergsonians wouldn't endorse that unless they were uneasy about Brooks on theory of the virtual I mean as your interest in deluzers are making more sensitive to that argument perhaps they aren't as keen on that emphasis of the virtual.
