Is the Crucifixion Necessary? (And Will the Entire Created Order be Saved?)
Sed Contra: A Podcast of Catholic Theology
Theology of the Crucifixion and Mercy
It almost seemed to me like she's concerned with any kind of soteriology, which has any element of divine justice involved. This sort of more 20th century liberal view of mercy as being with the other, accompanying them wherever they are rather than admonishing and converting the sinner,. purifying the wicked will and turning it towards God. So she's got that whole thing going on there. And you could see this even when the interviewer asked her, what does scripture have to say about divine redemption? She said all throughout the Christian Old Testament, the Jewish Scriptures, once you start asking the question, it strikes you clearly, God is the merciful redeemer of the whole world.
