John Brown was an abolitionist white man who was a christian. Grew up calvinist, actually. He was friends with a frederick douglas. At times, fraser douglas thought he was a little extreme. John browndeboyse is pointing out the ways in which john still weren't willing to worship in churches where black people sat in the same places that white people sayte jon brown went to many a meeting and saw all the black folks being set in the back.
