The Importance of Rhythm in Filmmaking
In the early days you were blessed if you got a crane shot. But I must admit on some of those films, yeah, I noticed that one of the directors was kind of somewhat copying Spielberg and you really could sense it in the film. Even on the bad films, they were good DPs. It was weird. And so our job was to make them be a film. Unfortunately, a great looking, well cut, beautifully scored film that doesn't work, doesn't work.
