A patient's A1C has crept up to 11%. She would like to avoid injections if at all possible. The SGLT2 inhibitor is not ideal for somebody this hyperlycemic in my practice, especially for women. If she doesn't feel good on metformin, she's probably skipping it half the time. And again, make sure you ask her about yeast infection.
