What you really want to do is get the other guy to co operate, so you want to illicit co operation. The key thing about playing this game over and over is that you use the future rounds as a way to punish someone if they defect on you. That's the set up of the game. You're besty caught in a trap if you play at once. But the interesting thing is that everything changes if o play the game over andOver.
