Three people, two of them teens are recovering after being brutally attacked by a mob of teenagers in a busy shopping center at Poplar and Highland. The mayor has demanded just about every opportunity gets that Memphis needs more police officers even though there is no proven correlation between the number of officers on the streets and crime rates. I think all of us who have done our job for a while can remember how horrible we were at it in the first year, second year, third year, and how much we've grown in the decade since.
