The Importance of Relationship in Journalism

Sally Kohn: I often say it feels like a lot of people because we're so connected in other ways, but not others that we spend a lot of time interacting but not relating with each other. What was really that turning point for you that said light bulb moment maybe or was it a long term thing? How did you get there?Kohn: The most personally animating aspect was my own family. So I'm a Mexican immigrant and the daughter of Mexican immigrants and my parents voted twice and pretty enthusiastically for Donald Trump. And then to look around and see how many bridges have been burned is very sobering.
