The Importance of Testing in the Wilderness

The road from freedom to flourishing must pass through the wilderness of testing. We learn about this in Exodus, but it becomes a dominant theme in the whole Bible. The Apostle Paul gives us a kind of cheat code to understand what this wilderness period of testing is all about. Israel didn't have to trust Pharaoh, they were just a labor force.
