How Uniswap Overcame Resistance to Universal Ownership and Exchange
Most of the world's capital is locked, so to speak, or gate kept by institutions that require identity and require knowing who you are. One member of our research team and I had a thesis that foreign exchange on the Uniswap protocol could be a really good use case. So we wrote a little paper just kind of explaining how and why would this make for a better institutional foreign exchange market, retail foreign exchange market and remittance market. It was kind of high level, but it forced us to dive into our assumptions and try to figure out, okay, well, how would we actually make this useful? Which users are underserved and don't have access through banks or money transfer
