i second miriam marglis' reading of bleak house is fantastic, isn't it? All forty hours or so of it. And i think, you know, our discussion points to the very seriousness of the book. It has a lot of it e qualities of victoria melodrama. The dying woman hugging her dead, her dead lover's tomb in the churchyard. You can just see a sort of dore or domier engraving of that image. Although i have a fondness for the old curiosity shop and ittlen,. i know, i love nowand i don't find it funny.
