Is the Turing Test a Good Test of Understanding?
LZ Granderson: It seems to me like these language models are on the verge of passing the Turing test. People are too willing to make sense of language and too willing to sort of build the context behind something, he says. And so we are not well positioned to actually be the testers in a Turing test; that's why that doesn't work,.
