The logic of new right politics is not that. I don't think anybody on the new right, especially in the intellectual spheres of it, thinks that we're going back to anything. What they are doing is building a new sort of national culture from basically what they view as a waste land. Having ambitious goals is what helps the world to make meaningful progress. It takes everything to reach zero.
