Is There a Difference Between Novels and Didactic Philosophy?
Do you prefer reading novels or stories to works of didactic philosophy? In so far as they're both words bound by a front and back cover. It depends on the philosopher. Its somebody who has an aesthetic that is open. And am somewhat novelistic, then i can enjoy reading that as much as a novel. I don't think i read very many contemporary sort of philosophical academic writing doesn't really appeal to me so much. What i like about novels is that there's no citation. It's just like a world of the author's invention. A lot of contemporary philosophy is citational, and i as much or more, about other thinkers than it is about the world.
