Conditional love is when your mother expects you to date or marry a certain kind of person and doesn't approve. Conditional love happens whenever the person you are in relationship with takes their love away from you. Your brother calls you every time he is down on his luck and needs some cash to get by. When your father treats you like you or your mother because he's still angry at her for her choices and for the dissolution of his own relationship.
