The Juvenile Justice System Is Coming to an End
The two former judges involved in the kids for cash scandal have been ordered to pay over $200 million. The judge who started it all wrote that both men abandoned their oaths and said they're cruel. It's unlikely any of the victims will see anything from this decision, but with a price tag of almost $1,000 for each person, it seems almost impossible that they'll receive any of it. Still, the decision has been met with a sense of victory for the survivors and the juvenile law center which helped bring the scandal to light so many years ago.
