The curse of knowledge occurs when an individual, often unknowingly, assumes that others have the background or knowledge to understand a particular topic.

Once we know something, it's tough to remember what it's like not to know it and to factor that into our communication. 

This leads to misunderstanding, frustration, inefficient or ineffective learning environments, and mango trees with boats in them.
