Is There a Dissonance Between Writing and the Culture?
I find people respect writing, even though they might not be readers. There's like this cultural sense of 'what you think of writers' But thereae also, like the weirdos an the cafes playing the eucalale or whatever. And i just think that a there's an odi i've noticed that same odd dissonance tween the way the job itself is perceived versus the way that it's actually appreciated or not by the culture.
