How Does an Axolotl Brain Regeneration Work?

An axolotl can regrow their entire brain after a head injury. The amount of tissue needed to regrow a limb or organ is actually quite small. Regeneration happens in three phases, starting with the wound healing process. After that, cells build nerve fibers and then replace neurons.
