The Problem With Tyler Cowan's Arguments About Technology

I have a lot of problems with Tyler Cowan's arguments about technology. The problem here isn't really the fact that there's work to be done at home, nor is it even what he says what he's arguing about. If you do not teach kids a process of how to analyze texts, write about them, think them through while they're writing and then come out on the other end, whatever fluency they might have with the machine when the machine is doing a lot of those steps for them will be degraded. I am very skeptical of this idea that we can outsource some of those basics because we have the way our minds work.
