What's the Difference Between a Lamder Hyperon and a Proton Neutron?
There's a quantum number called strangeness, which is an attribute of lamde hyperons and chaons. In strong interactions, like what happens inside nuclei, strangeness can't be created or destroyed. But in weak interaction,. strangeness can be changed. And so that was kind of the the strong interactions don't have a strangeness an the weak interactions do. So then there began to be all kinds of different a rules that were discovered about strangeness and how it changed in um, in weak interactions and so on.
