The Tax Arbitrage of Rich People
There's a tax arbitrage going on right now. There are really close tax jurisdictions like Singapore or Hong Kong, which might charge a maximum of 10 or 15%. And then there's capital gains tax to pay on that as well. Our tax rate in Australia is 49.5%. We don't get a lot of incentives. You've been paying taxes all the way through. And then after you die, here's another 40% or whatever pay up. So that's unfortunate. It's horrible.
