While I was finishing up my MBA, we did the first of two investments in a company called Payward. We just didn't see anything that was super compelling from a differentiated market perspective. The deal flow wasn't sufficient to do what we're doing now. And frankly, what we feel like all of our life experiences, our background, our track record as investors, et cetera, have really just primed us to be ready to do what I feel like is almost like calling level life's work, meaningful work.
