In December 2017, in the spring of 2018, I signed a contract, write a book on colonialism. The publisher came to me and said, I'm writing an intelligent person's guide to colonialism. It was by the close of December 2020. And so at 3pm on New Year's Eve, on 2020, I dispatched the manuscript with a whole nine hours to spare. Then early 21, my commissioning editor wrote back,. he read the manuscript, he said, he used the word, what did he want the word speechless was the word he used? Nigel: If only my critics knew what good service they performed for me.
