The Impact of the Ban on India's Food Exports
Mr. Koll: The impact is not just of the ban but the untridictibility of the move and it could extend to other staples as well possibly. This will create supply problem and food security in many many countries because WTO does not actually permit quantitative restrictions unless there are compelling reasons for any girl. Once we lose a market our credibility goes down and also to regain those markets is not an easy task. But with improving situation it is possible that government may again look into this after the month or month and a half.
