The Effects of Metformin on Long COVID Incidence
Last week researchers published findings from a phase three trial that suggested early outpatient treatment with the diabetes drug metformin reduced incidents of long COVID by 41%. This seems like very promising news. What should our listeners know about this study, Mike? Well, I too think it's an important study. And I want to congratulate the team that put this together. It was actually led by one of my colleagues, Carolyn Brumonti, here at the University of Minnesota as part of the COVID out study.
