Rick Steves: I'm a 52-year-old father of an amazing 17 year old daughter. He survived emotional abuse and neglect from his parents as a kid, which he unconsciously passed on to his daughter. Steves: It's so easy for things to happen in a kid's adolescence that set the course of the relationship for the next 30 years. So what might help? A very simple statement of responsibility, remorse and apology that is yours to you just communicate that like wow.

Dr. Rick and Forrest open up the mailbag and answer questions from listeners related to how we can build better relationships (particularly with our families) and deal with difficult people.
