If i'm a good guy, then i'll be liked and loved. Covert contract number two is that if i give to other people without them having to ask, then they should give to me without me having to ask. Problem with this covert contract is nobody knows it exists. The other person doesn't know that now that you've given to them, that they're strings attached and you're supposed to give back. And so we tend to people that aren't very good at giving. nice guys are terrible receivers. Nice guys often have a shame attack around having needs met by others.
