How Hair Dye Works
There are a couple different ways to get the rainbow locks of your dreams. Temporary hair dye has colored molecules that stick to the outside of your hair. Permanent hair dye is trapped inside the cage, and so it doesn't wash away. Hair bleach breaks up melanin into smaller molecules that don't absorb any light.
