March is Endometriosis Awareness Month. It takes on average eight years to diagnose endometriosis. The gold standard of diagnosis involves keyhole surgery, which is quite invasive. There's surgery and then there are other treatments as well. But I think that most important message is if it's not normal for you, or if you're not managing, go and ask for help.
