The New Bridge in Corpus Christi, Texas
The new bridge in Corpus Christi is going to carry six lanes of traffic and a shared bicycle and pedestrian path. The deck is going to sit 62 metres above the surface of the water, which is obviously high enough to clear those massive new ships coming in. Construction started back in 2016 due to finish by 2020, but here we are in 2023 with a half-built structure. Back on this bridge has been stopped not once, but twice. But I think it looks great. It's really designed elegantly. Texas does go big on stuff. And this looks good if it gets completed.
