The Change in the Nomenclature of the Central and Police Forces
Up until 2011 the Central and Police Forces were actually called India's paramilitary forces. However this was changed and CAPF became the uniform nomenclature for referring to all these forces starting from 2011. As far as the operational work is concerned there is absolutely no change in the work that the Central Forces were doing prior to 2011 and subsequently.
