The John Snow Cholera Map
The John Snow cholera map is a famous example of early epidemiology. It was created in the 1850s and tracked deaths from a cholera epidemic. But what's really interesting is that his later map actually drew this area around this particular region of the original map surrounding an infected water pump. So you can take that what people call that map and divide it into a Veronoi diagram because each water pump becomes one of those positions.
