Ibuprofen Blocks Cox Enzyme
Doctors recommend that you take aspirin and not ibuprofen to prevent something like heart disease. Aspirin binds irreversibly to the Cox enzyme in a platelet, which means it will not form a clot. Ibuprofen binds in a different place and it just, it binds reversibly. It can be out-competed and it can fall off, essentially.
