Teflon: A No-Go?
For me as a chemist, Teflon is a no-go. In my mind, there's not enough negative information that I'm phasing it out. Silica and finely powder form can give you really bad diseases. If you breathe it in, nothing's perfectly safe. So I feel comfortable using it as an alternative for the two reasons: It can be reused with relatively low leaching and breaking down. And then two that it is reused instead of a one time polymer that gets thrown into a landfill.
