A lot of the time they study the properties of materials. This is one of the areas of sort of, it's a bit of chemistry, sort of engineering. And there's a tremendous amount of this research in the world. Very rarely does it result in something that goes straight into the open market where you could just like go to dip on by the fucking thing.
