Slum Tourism

Slum tourism came back in the 19 eighties. I can't believe that it had a more international flavor. The opponents say it is a race exercise and it is not helping these folks. People who support it say, this puts money into critically impoverished neighborhoods. And there's an argument that it like raises a wareness for the less fortunat about the less fortunate.
