Facebook's Master Brand Strategy

Facebook and Instagram are very strong brands. If they were to apply that brand or even replace it, if it became Facebook images, for example, I would worry that they would lose a lot of customers in the process. So there are situations where your master brand is a problem or toxic in a certain market. That would be a time that you may want to keep a separate brand and a separate strong brand. But I would tell you that is so rare. And what's more often the case is that people don't even know about them.
