Outcomes of Balloon Angioplasty in Intracranial Stenosis: A Clinical Trial Overview
This chapter examines a clinical trial in China that compared balloon angioplasty combined with medical management to medical management alone in patients with symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis. The results suggest that while angioplasty presents periprocedural risks, it may significantly lower the long-term risks of stroke and death.
