The Presbyterian Church in the United States of America
At the 1903 assembly, they also created a special committee on cooperation in church union. In 1906, there was the joining of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the PCUSA. 35 churches or 35 press trades overtured the 1918 assembly for an organic plan of union. It brought back a recommendation to the 1920 assembly meeting in Philadelphia.
