Fashion Is Revisionist

Fashion is a terrible way to reckon with complexity. There's really so little room for nuance. We accept that we're highlighting the good and overlooking the bad of the era because we don't want our fashion to make us feel bad. You just have to accept that in the nostalgia effect, something is going to get left out of the story.
