The Positives and Negatives of CBDC
The bank of Canada is proposing to create a retail CBDC. Retail CBDCs are issued by central banks and use blockchain technology. Public versus private blockchains being vastly different in the ESG if you can call it that. The one thing I was really disappointed about how it was awarded because throughout the survey they only highlight the positives without mentioning any of the risks.
