The Memory of Gay Marriage
When it comes to social issues, we actually do have this kind of knee jerk instinct that says like, well, we're moving forwards, not backwards. The moment the gay marriage issue was mooted by the Supreme Court's decision in Obergefell V Hodges in 2015, the right pivoted to a different issue. And I think that that's really interesting. Part of what I'm really excited about is tracing the common sort of intellectual foundations of these moral panics, of these beliefs about sex and gender.
