Theta Roosevelt's Presidential Library in North Dakota

President Theodore Roosevelt was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He transformed himself into a Westerner by getting on horseback and building relationships that all became the rough riders. His wife and his mother died on the same day in the same house on Valentine's Day of 1884. The grand opening July 4th, 2026, has been named an official USA 250 event.
