Social Psychology and the Replication Crisis
Bellin: Social psychology is a fascinating field, but its had two effects. One is that it's kind of the take home message people have as that people are fundamentally irrational anyway. The second point in the social psychology has done is it's persuaded people. If you want toit, if you want to persuade people, don't give them rational arguments, press the emotional buttns, eh, soad. That does seem to work. So how how do we contain them? And thiss, i guess, is linking up with what is supposed to been the third theme of this discussion, which is, where is the post truth?
