The Importance of Being in the Place
I'm so interested, John, in working with actors when you're the writer or not. Like what for you do you need to bring for an actor? If you're a writer, if all of our writers listening, I'd love to talk about both what a director needs on that page and what an actor needs as a directorworking with them. So much of all of this imbues our characters with the specificity and what the actors are asking him. And I hope our writers can hear that John's talking about being in the place and how much the place is helping them understand that character.
