The Risks of Cerebral Edema in DKA

The risk factors for cerebral edema are almost, well, they used to be a few more than what the typical listing is. You can't prevent low PCO2 unless you get ahold of that kid right away and you manage their event or manage their breathing whatever way you want. The drier you are, the sicker you are. And if you're five years in below and you show up in DKA, you have a very high risk of getting cerebroedema.
