Before using the time timer, I think it's important to be curious like why is this task difficult and see if there are some accommodations to make those tasks a little bit easier. It also can help to kind of break down the task into simple visual steps. So when they do successfully put things away for a minute or 30 seconds or whatever your targeted time is really celebrate those things when they happen.
